Stress sucks. I’ve been kind of stressed lately with lots of things, and I need to try to get my life back on track.
For starters, homework was piling up, and I didn’t hand in assignments on time. The last two weeks or so, I haven’t been able to focus on much, so it made it really hard to stay on top of school work. I just kept seeing work added to my plate, and deadlines coming closer, but had no motivation to do anything about it.
On Thursday I believe it was, my family got the news of my foster brother being adopted out of our family. That was really hard. I had a mental breakdown, and didn’t do any work that evening. The following day at school, I didn’t do any work either. I told my teachers I was taking a ‘mental health day’ and would work on my stuff over the weekend. I just needed that mental break, because everything was all over the place.
